Animal Welfare
As a member of the cross party group on animal welfare, and as a vegetarian, I am a supporter of the welfare and rights of animals. I have campaigned against electric dog shock collars on an Assembly level alongside Plaid colleagues, and Elin Jones AM, the Rural Affairs Minister has recently banned them in Wales. I have visited Llys Nini in Pontarddulais which provides a shelter for animals, and I hold regular meetings with the RSPCA in Wales. I have also visited the Dogs Trust Centre in Bridgend to support the work that they do locally.
