Plaid AM Bethan Jenkins launches new website
17 September 2008
Plaid Cymru Assembly Member for South Wales West, Bethan Jenkins has today launched her new website to inform constituents of the work that she carries out in the area.
Speaking from her office in Neath today, Ms Jenkins said:
“I recently launched my new blog site, which has been branded much like the new website that I am launching today. Its vitally important for AMs to keep in touch with the electorate in new, innovative ways, and the website is just one way of doing this. I have information on campaigns and local issues in South Wales West, as well as a picture gallery on the website. I also have articles that I have written for the local press and how to get in touch with my staff at the Neath office.”
Bethan added:
“I intend to post regular video blogs about my work on the website as well as updates on local events that constituents may attend in the surrounding area. I also have an area where people can get in touch with me via Facebook or the social site Twitter.
I hope that this will encourage participation in the political process, and that other AMs will follow suit in embracing new technologies. I also wish to place online polls on the website to gather people’s opinions on issues of importance also.”
