Community groups
It is important that people feel ownership for their communities, and therefore part of the job that I love most as an AM is visiting community groups and organisations who carry out so much positive work in their areas. I have appointed a community development officer, Gareth Thomas as part of my staff team, and his role is to make links with such organisations so that I can get involved in their work across the region, and so that I can assist with funding applications and so on.
