Plaid AM renews call for .cym

Plaid Cymru AM Bethan Jenkins today renewed the call for a .cym web address in an Assembly plenary session. The Plaid AM put a question to the Minister for culture, Plaid’s Rhodri Glyn Thomas during question time.
Plaid AM for South Wales West, Bethan Jenkins said:
“It’s important that the world has access to everything that Wales has to offer and I believe that a .cym web address would be one way of achieving this. It would be an excellent tool in promoting Welsh events both to communities in Wales and abroad. It would open up new opportunities for Welsh based businesses.
“I was pleased with the Minister’s response to my question. He is obviously taking an active interest in the issue and has been discussing the proposal with other Ministers and campaigners. I look forward to discussing further developments with the Minister.”
