Parliament for Wales

As part of the One Wales Government commitment between Plaid Cymru and the Labour party in Wales, we have agreed to hold a referendum on a Parliament for Wales. A Convention was established to prepare the way for a referendum on a Parliament for Wales, chaired by Sir Emyr Jones Parry. The Convention has now reported to the Welsh Government, which shows that many people in Wales support the idea of more powers for Wales. There is  a website,  www.allwalesconvention.org if you want more information.

Plaid Cymru and the Labour party, through the One Wales agreement have signed up to campaign for a positive outcome to a referendum on a Parliament for Wales, and I am confident that this process with be successful.

All AMs have now taken part in a trigger vote, stating that they support the concept of a referendum on more powers.
